Growing Green:
Spring Herb Walk
with Linda Conroy
of Moonwise Herbs, LLC.
Join herbalist and forager Linda Conroy as we explore the plants that are emerging with the arrival of spring. This is such a celebratory time for foragers. Each season brings with it, new plants and plant stages to identify. During this walk, we will learn to identify the early spring plants, best practices for harvesting as well as how to prepare them for optimal nourishment and healing. We will make a wild salad for sampling and everyone will take home a remedy or condiment that they make themselves. Premade wild snacks and drinks will be shared at the end of the walk.
We’ll meet for this event at Wellspring, Inc.

CANCELED- LOOK FOR FUTURE DATES THIS SPRING
Foraging with Sam Thayer
RESCHEDULED TO FALL 2022 – DATE TBD
At the workshop, you’ll join Sam Thayer for a hands-on day of botany, foraging, and feasting. We’ll be exploring the varied landscape of Riveredge to learn about the edible plants of prairies, forests, lawns, wetlands, and everything in between. Of course, you’ll learn to identify these plants, but we’ll also discuss their ecology—so you know how to find them, and how to use them responsibly. Read more about Sam Thayer below.
