Little Explorers
Playgroup
Little Explorers is a playgroup open to families with children ages 2 to 5 years old. These naturalist guided experiences are designed with 45 minutes of structured play & exploration followed by 45 minutes of free play. Adults are encouraged to play along with their little explorers as well. Little siblings (0-1) are welcome to tag along too.

Fairy Fest!
For one day each year, Riveredge becomes extra magical… and that day is Fairy Fest! We are celebrating the mythology, lore, and the flying beings that inhabit Riveredge. Robbie the Gnome, Bigfoot, fairies, minpins, and reedgivers; butterflies, dragonflies, fairy shrimp- let’s see who visits!
Come dressed for the weather AND the occasion. Costumes are encouraged!
Activities:
Making flower crowns, wings, and wands
Creating a take-home fairy garden
Learning about fairy friends (butterflies, dragonflies, and other pollinators) and how to take care of them
Face Painting
For ages 2-12 | Children should be accompanied by an adult (no charge for adults)

Nature Tots
Saturday Session!
Nature Tots is an early childhood program designed for learners ages 2-5 years old, accompanied by an adult guardian (little siblings ages 0-1 are welcome to tag along). A Riveredge Naturalist will focus on outdoor exploration, literacy, physical development, nature intelligence, and social development.

Spring Egg Hunt
Join us for a special egg hunt event, Riveredge style! Families are invited to hike ~1 mile trail while children encounter stations to gather eggs from. Our eggs are filled with candy-free, nature inspired objects- some include tickets, which can be redeemed for a prize of your child’s choice. After your hike, enjoy the springtime air and play in the natural play area!

Spring Break
Yoga for Kids
Ages 2-5
This event is a fun, exercise-based yoga class for children that includes poses, breathing, and creative activities. We’ll practice with a partner, do group poses and play fun yoga games.
The 45 minute session is designed for kids age 2-5, accompanied by a parent or guardian for the practice. Flow together!
