What better way to celebrate your health than by snowshoeing through the wintry landscape of Riveredge? Join us for an afternoon of exercise and fun! After our workout, we will enjoy hot chocolate provided by Riveredge. Participants are encouraged to bring a bar of their favorite chocolate to share. (If we don’t have snow, we will hike and run instead of snowshoeing.) Meet at the Visitors’ Center. Adults and children 12 and up.

Imagine snowshoeing under the clear, crisp winter night sky with the moonlight reflecting off the snow. Enjoy the beauty of a nighttime snowshoe hike. Discover the creatures active after dark and explore the night sky. All ages will enjoy this adventure. Riveredge will provide the snowshoes (or use your own). Dress for the weather and wear insulated boots. If there is not enough snow for snowshoeing, we will still hike. Hot drinks will be served afterward. Space is limited; please call to reserve your spot.

Bring the family out for a high-tech scavenger hunt on snowshoes while learning to use a hand-held GPS unit. While this program is designed for beginners, all skill levels are welcome. GPS units and snowshoes will be provided or bring your own. Pre-registration required. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Nature Tots: environmental education for children ages 3-5 with an adult
Not all animal stories are found on pages in a book. We will hike with snowshoes and discover stories that animals are writing at Riveredge! Dress for being outdoors.
