Family Nature Club: Sledding or Hike & Outdoor Games at Hawthorne Hills

Otter slide, backwards ride, belly down, bring your sleds and gather around! Bring your own sled and race down the slopes at Hawthorn! Prepare for sledding and January weather with your snow gear! We will have hot chocolate to warm up.

The forecast for the week preceding our meeting next week Tuesday isn’t looking too promising for sledding- HOWEVER, we will have games and activities prepared for you and your families to participate in. We will add a few extra dates for sledding this winter- do your snow dances!

Can’t wait for our first FNC session of 2023!

Family Nature Club is a free offering to our community designed for kids ages 6-12 and their families. We facilitate outdoor, environmental-education based experiences for families to enjoy together.

Family Nature Club Sledding Shenanigans

Join Riveredge Family Nature Club for a night outdoors. Bring your own sled and race down the slopes at Ridge Run! Prepare for sledding and January weather with your snow gear! We will have hot chocolate to warm up.

Enter the Parking lot on Ridge Run’s East Side. In Maps use Ridge Run Park Central. Follow the drive past the first playset and down the hill to the large parking lot.
We will meet by the playset on the far end of the parking lot.
