Our nature based 4K partnership with the West Bend School District and Kettle Moraine YMCA – West Bend continues to amaze. Neither snow nor rain nor heat keeps them from exploring and learning outside every day!
The program features hands-on, child-centered opportunities for learning through exploration and discovery in rich outdoor settings. Through a wide variety of seasonally appropriate experiences, children develop a strong connection with the natural world and build fundamental skills needed to prepare them for kindergarten.

75% of instruction immersed in nature based learning
two days/week at Riveredge and two days at Holy Trinity in Newburg
Families receive a free 1 year membership to Riveredge Nature Center
before and after 4K child care available through the ymca
Families with children enrolled 5 days per week will receive a free family membership to the YMCA
Focus is on social/emotional growth that helps children gain confidence in school readiness skills and independence
