Preserve wild Wisconsin

As you pass patches of pasque flowers or observe an otter out the corner of your eye, it can be hard to believe that 50 years ago, most of these 379 acres of wild Wisconsin were degraded farmland barren of diversity and life.

Thanks to the five decades of dedicated restoration efforts by volunteers and staff, Riveredge is regarded as one of the most beautifully restored natural sanctuaries in southeastern Wisconsin. Your membership ensures that these prairies, forests, ponds, and more than one mile of Milwaukee River shoreline remain a sanctuary for threatened plants and wildlife and a natural oasis for human experience that will continue to be protected and restored.

Join The Movement

We absolutely love being so many people's "second backyard." With new research coming out seemingly every day about the immense health and happiness benefits of time spent outside, we also know that more must be done to make nature a part of people's everyday lives, even when they're not at Riveredge.

That's why we're dedicated to building a movement to bring nature to where people already are - neighborhoods, schools, and backyards. With your gift, you join this movement by supporting innovative partnership programs like Family Nature Clubs, Scientist in Residence, Community Rivers Program, Sturgeon Fest, Every Kid In A Park, and more!

Military and student discounts are $10 off your chosen level with photo identification. Please contact Renee Buchholz rbuchholz@riveredge.us for more details. We realize it's illegal to make copies of military identification, so this must take place in-person.

Volunteers are also eligible for free all access memberships after 40 hours of volunteering.

Riveredge business partners show their support of Riveredge’s work while enjoying a plethora of benefits that support the health and wellness of employees and their families. See Business Membership details here.

Thank you for being such a generous partner.

Is there anything else we can help you with?

FLEXIBLE OPTIONS

Not only is giving on a scheduled basis often easier for your own budgeting purposes, it helps Riveredge plan our budget sustainably as well! Our online donation system makes setting up your yearly or monthly membership super easy- just choose your desired frequency in the form.
