Riveredge Nature Center Annual Membership Meeting Minutes
June 8, 2014
Attendees: Forty-three members attended the meeting, and 115 voting members submitted proxies for the meeting.
President Monte Boyer called the meeting to order at 5:05 P.M.
The President thanked all the members for their generous support of Riveredge. He gave special thanks to the many volunteers for their outstanding support of, and contributions to the Center. He then reviewed the year’s activities, achievements, and future goals.
Current Board Members Sharon Ziegler, Ted Neitzke, Mary Rozek, and Mike Grisar were placed in nomination for election to a two-year term on the Board of Directors. There being no other nominations Chris Ford moved and Barb Gilmore seconded that Sharon Ziegler, Ted Neitzke, Mary Rozek, and Mike Grisar be elected to a three-year term on the Board. Motion passed unanimously.
Kathy Fargo, Kim Pemble and Dori Naef were placed in nomination as new members for election to the Board of Directors for a three-year term. There being no other nominations, Chris Ford moved and Barb Gilmore seconded that Kathy Fargo, Kim Pemble and Dori Naef be elected to a two-year term on the Board. Motion passed unanimously.
Treasurer Rick Fox presented the financial report of the Center. He indicated that there were three sources of income to fund the Center and its programs: the Annual Fund Drive, interest from investments, and program fees.
Executive Director Jessica Jens spoke on the accomplishments and impact achieved by Riveredge during its 45th year. She also provide insight in a vision of the future while continuing to honor the Riveredge Legacy. She recognized and thanked Riveredge’s many volunteer groups.
There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:35 P.M.
