Yule Log Dinner (December 6, 7, or 8)

December 6 - December 8

Registration is open for members only. Registration will open for guests on Monday, November 25.

The end of the year is a great time to give thanks for all the good in one’s life, and one thing we couldn’t be more thankful for is the amazing community of members who make Riveredge thrive. That’s why each Winter Solstice, we invite our members to Yule Log, three nights (we added one on Sunday this year!) of festive entertainment where we can share the bounty of another fantastic year at Riveredge, celebrate the return of winter, and thank our members for all they do.

We start the night getting into the festive spirit with holiday carols and entertainment before enjoying a delicious dinner featuring the world famous (okay, Riveredge famous) Yule Log Stew. This mouth-watering stew is cooked all day in a cast iron cauldron over a fire and includes ingredients grown right here in Riveredge’s organic garden, tended to all year long by summer campers, students on field trips, and our staff.

After dinner, the excitement really begins, as we head into the Riveredge woods with lanterns in hand to search for the coveted Yule Log hidden in the forest. Go for the glory and work with your family to be the first to find this year’s Log! Once the Yule Log is found, we’ll all work together to drag it back to the crackling campfire, where we’ll enjoy cider, hot chocolate, some holiday sing-a-longs, and if we’re really lucky, a visit from Father Winter!

This festive Riveredge celebration has been celebrated for over 40 years now, so whether this is your first Yule Log experience as a Riveredge member or your tenth, we hope you’ll join us for this holiday tradition you won’t soon forget.
