Have you ever seen a woodcock “charm” a worm out of the ground by firmly treading on the ground and rocking back and forth? That’s the technique they use to convince worms (their prey) to rise to the surface. Woodcock chicks, that copy every move that their mothers make, have even been seen doing the “sway-step” also known as the “woodcock walk.” Join us to witness this amusing behavior along with their other spectacular flight- displays, including their courtship “falling leaf” display. Don’t miss this fun spring ritual. Dress for the weather. This program is entirely outdoors. Masks are required indoors. Social distancing will be maintained between parties/family groups.
