Treasures Of Oz Eco-Tour
June 16, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
The Treasures of Oz Eco-Tour returns for another wonderful year of celebrating the surprising treasure sites of Ozaukee County on June 16th. The theme this year is focused on Ozaukee’s Other Coast, our great Milwaukee River that runs from the top to the bottom of the county, with 7 free and family-friendly sites throughout the county for you to explore. Discover things that enrich your life, learn to reduce our stress in nature, find opportunities for recreation and meaningful volunteering, have a memorable adventure and connect with others who love the outdoors and natural places.
Riveredge is very excited to be one of the sites on this year’s tour! Stop on out to Riveredge to learn about the Milwaukee River Watershed as you stroll through the grounds. Our naturalists will tell you about the 50 year history of the center on your way to the streamside rearing facility where you’ll see raceways containing thousands of fingerling sturgeon. Then head down the trail to another station where you’ll discover some of the aquatic organisms that call the river their home. Spend as much or as little time as you have time to explore and be sure to visit the other sites as well. An important note: the Riveredge site tour begins in our WEST parking lot.
