May 20, 2014 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Bad River Watershed is a beautiful, diverse and abundant wetland resource in northern Wisconsin. Join Wisconsin Wetlands Association Executive Director, Tracy Hames, as he discusses the important role these wetlands play in maintaining watershed health. We will also discuss information about a proposal to develop a large taconite mine in this area, and the potential impacts a project like this could have on the Bad River Watershed from the mine site downstream to the Kakagon/Bad River Sloughs estuary along Lake Superior.
