Science for Everyone: Looking for Clues About the Past- An Introduction to Archaeology

September 23, 2014 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Join Dr Chris Hayes as he presents a brief and fun introduction to archaeology and Wisconsin’s prehistoric past. There will be artifacts for you to touch and all questions at any time are encouraged. The talk will cover things like: What kinds of questions do archaeologists ask? How do they know where to dig? How do they analyze artifacts? How do they interpret their findings? What is it like to work in the field and the laboratory? Feel free to bring any artifacts that you might have found on your property that you wonder about and I will try to help you understand them through the eyes of an archaeologist.

Fee: Free ($5 donation appreciated)
