Raising & Saving Monarchs
August 18, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

With Carol Komassa – Butterfly Coach
The monarch butterfly may be the most widely recognized of all American butterflies with its distinct orange, black, and white wings. Learn about these amazing pollinators and their important food source: Milkweed. Local Butterfly Coach, Carol Komassa, will share Monarch facts, discuss their survival rates and share why these butterflies are close to endangered.
During this two hour workshop, participants will search for Monarch eggs and learn how to successfully raise Monarch butterflies from egg to release back into nature. Learn how you can help this species and our planet naturally! Milkweed plants and seeds will be available for purchase at the workshop. Limited supply, cash only.
Workshop is open to folks ages 10 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. RSVP by calling Cassie at 262-416.1364 or fill out this quick Google Form!
