Wildflower seed collecting can be a fun, family-friendly activity that can also reap huge benefits to pollinators, birds, butterflies, and other wildlife that use these flowers. Come learn the art of wildflower seed collecting at our next gathering. We will be exploring the small prairie, and families will learn how to identify particular wildflowers, find those flowers in the prairie, and collect seed for future plantings. A great skill to learn for young and old, and we get to help pollinators too!
This event is offered in partnership with Project Wingspan, whose goal is to provide more pollinator-friendly habitat across the Midwest through coordinated wildflower seed collection efforts.
