Noel J. Cutright Bird Club – Three Decades Surveying, Counting and Banding the Birds of Riveredge

Mary Holleback manages the adult programs at the Riveredge Nature Center; Matt Smith manages its land; Al Sherkow and Deb Hartmann have led more than 30 years of bird banding work here. Together, their joint program will explore the explore the long, varied and distinguished history of bird research at Riveredge, a topic that is made especially poignant by the passing last fall of Andy Larsen, the center’s first director who led bird banding and monitoring efforts for many years.

The bird club meets the first Tuesday of every month. It brings together those who enjoy observing and learning more about birds and sharing these interests with others. All activities are free & open to the public. Attend a meeting or field trip to become a member and receive the electronic bimonthly newsletter.
