Noel J. Cutright Bird Club: Commemorating the Centennial of the Passenger Pigeon’s Extinction

June 3, 2014 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

In 1914 the last surviving Passenger Pigeon died in the Cincinnati Zoo. Wisconsin had been a stronghold for this species, and so this year’s tragic centennial offers a unique opportunity for us to confront our current ongoing extinction crisis. UW-Madison Prof. Stanley A. Temple for 32 years held the academic position occupied by Aldo Leopold and has spent his career working to save endangered species. His presentation is one not to be missed.

No registration required.
