Invasive Species: Crayfish Capers and Purple Invaders

September 17, 2014 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Free

Join Washington County’s AIS coordinator, Bradley Steckart, to learn how invasive species got here and their effects on recreation, ecology, and economics of our waterways. Explore the river and our ponds to find some of the new aquatic plants and animals that now call Riveredge their home.   Catch some rusty crayfish (we definitely will) and search for New England mudsnails and other species that are our latest unwanted guests.

Fee: Free (donations appreciated)
