Garlic Mustard Pull-a-thon
May 24, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Free
Help Riveredge control garlic mustard and Dame’s rocket throughout the sanctuary. In partnership with the Southeastern Wisconsin Invasive Species Consortium, the Pull-a-thon is a competition, a fundraiser, and a way for people to join together and have a positive impact on their environment. Riveredge was 2016’s competition winner, so we’ll need your help to return the trophy to Riveredge again this year!
Adults and families (with children aged 10 and up) are encouraged to participate. Come for either part or the entire time. Participants should wear long sleeves, non-synthetic pants, boots/shoes that can get dirty, good-fitting gloves, and a hat. We will provide water but please bring a water container for refilling.
If you cannot join us, you can still support our efforts in invasive species education by donating to our SEWISC participant page HERE.
Pre-registration is not required; however, if you have a group that would like to participate, please contact Matt Smith at msmith@riveredge.us or call us at 262-375-2715.
