Garlic Mustard Pull-A-Thon
May 17, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
In partnership with the Southeast Wisconsin Invasive Species Consortium’s (SEWISC), Riveredge will be conducting our annual Garlic Mustard Pull-A-Thon on Tuesday, May 17th. The pull-a-thon is a competition, a fundraiser to support invasive species education, and a way for people to join together and have a positive impact on their environment by pulling dames’ rocket and/or garlic mustard from our natural areas.
Want to join in on the invasive species pulling fun? Join us for a morning with our land stewardship staff and volunteers, as well as other community members, as we fight the battle against these invasive invaders and keep Riveredge looking great.
With board and community contributions to this annual fundraiser, Riveredge has been able to raise over $1,500 for invasive species awareness in just two years! Our goal this year is to raise $1,000 for this awesome initiative– you can make an online donation to the Riveredge Nature Center Pull-a-Thon Team to help us raise funds for invasive species education, prevention, and control!
