Family Overnight at Riveredge: Night’s Hidden Wonders
August 13, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - August 14, 2016 @ 9:00 am
Our Family Camps have been so popular and filled so fast this year, we wanted to open another option for families who missed out! We expect this session to fill fast, too, so be sure to register as soon as possible!
Join a Riveredge staff member for a unique opportunity to experience Riveredge after hours! You’ll explore Riveredge with a lepidopterist (a big fancy word for a scientist who studies butterflies and moths) to hunt for moths and to learn fun facts about these awesome creatures of the night! Plus, you’ll learn all about bats and how scientists study them while using our very special Echo Meter Touch to discover the hidden life flying overhead. This night is a chance to explore the trails, relax by the campfire, and experience just what nature does when we’re not paying attention. Afterwards, pitch your tent at Riveredge’s Woodland Harvest site and slumber to the sound of the night choir. We will provide dinner, and in the morning you’ll enjoy pancakes with Riveredge maple syrup. Space is limited so register early! Each family is limited to one tent.
Fee (per family): Member $55, Non-member $75
