Bough Trimming for Seasonal Decor with The Friends of the Domes

December 15, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Learn how to properly trim your evergreen trees to create festive and natural holiday trimmings. Under the guidance of a plant expert from the Friends of the Domes, we’ll identify and trim native bows and branches from around Riveredge Nature Center. Then we’ll weave our materials into a welcoming table wreath to use during all of your holiday entertaining or as a beautiful and unique handmade gift. Slow down in this busy time of year to enjoy the scenic outdoors, spend time with friends, and learn a new skill for the holiday seasons to come.

You will take home a tree ID booklet and your own holiday centerpiece. Coffee and cocoa will be provided to keep us warm. Bring a hand-nippers or trimmer if you can, we will have some extras to share.

*Pre-registration is required. Please dress for the weather as we will be taking a short 1 mile hike to the trimming demonstration location.

Fee: $10.00 for Riveredge & Friends of the Domes Members, $15.00 for non members.

Please Register through the Friends of the Domes by visiting their registration site here.
