Agroforestry: Pruning Field Workshop

This pruning workshop is entirely outside and designed to elevate tree and shrub care for both professionals, and beginners. An emphasis will be given on old apple trees this time of year as we will be actively pruning an old forgotten orchard. You will be introduced to the basics of plant biology and structure, responses to the basic types of pruning cuts, pruning standards, timing, how to successfully restore previously mal-pruned trees, common mistakes, disease issues, proper tools and safety procedures to use. This is a workshop where you will actively improve and practice your pruning skills.
