Basic Tree Climbing Course

Learn to safely climb trees in your own backyard! This two-day course covers all the basics needed to begin technical tree climbing on your own, including rope setting & placement, knotcraft, doubled rope (DdRT) climbing techniques, double rope end climbing (DREC), equipment, hazards, tree selection, tree climbing ethics, and more. Class size is limited. Minimum age 13, 13-17 must be accompanied by parent/guardian.
All training equipment provided.
This workshop is being taught by Tree Climbing Colorado, an affiliate of the Global Organization of Tree Climbers (GOTC).
Class will occur from 9 – 5 pm on Sunday, June 7 and Monday, June 8. Lunch is included on both days.
