FULL: Free Kayaking & Canoeing Opportunity – Mequon Villa Grove Park
August 15, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
UPDATE: Unfortunately this paddle is now completely full. Thank you so much for everyone’s interest. Because we received so much interest at once for the Ozaukee Paddle, we’ve gone beyond how many paddlers can be supported to give everyone a rewarding and fun experience. If you signed up through the Google Form, please expect an email in the new few days with update on your registration status.
Thanks to a generous grant from Outdoor Education Fund’s Paddle Nation, Riveredge’s Ozaukee And Washington Family Nature Clubs are excited to offer a special chance for the public to try out kayaking and canoeing for FREE at Mequon Villa Grove Park!
Everything is provided! We will have a limited number of kayaks and canoes with us (and, of course, paddles and life jackets for all); if we have more people who want either kind of both then we have, we will take turns rotating between kayaks and canoes. Our experienced instructors will give you all the guidance and instruction you need to feel comfortable!
- If you have children under the age of 10, they will likely be in a canoe. We will need two adults or older youth who are experienced paddlers in each canoe. Children of any age can sit in the middle of the canoes.
- We will paddle the River in this location- it is very slow moving and calm, so great for beginners and fun for those who wish to “race” each other!
- We do have a maximum number of participants, so RSVP is required.
