Have you ever wondered what to make for family members? You want to make gifts that are personal and unique, but are also useful, beautiful, or maybe even delicious. Where do you get the ideas, and how in the world do you gather all the materials you will need?
That’s what makes Riveredge’s Handmade for the Holidays so perfect for the busy kid who wants to create AMAZING gifts. Riveredge supplies the guidance and materials; you supply the creativity and fun!
This year’s projects include building a garden tool caddy out of wood, trail mix gift jars, ornaments, book binding, rope and paper-making, and snow globes!
Here are some quotes from 2013 participants:
- The crafts were beautiful. For items made by kids, these gifts will definitely be treasured by the recipients. Great planning by the hosts to help kids make something of quality in a short period of time.
- The people hosting the gift making were wonderful, friendly, and helpful!
- The smiles on their faces as they completed the stool (last year’s woodworking project) said it all. They were so proud of themselves!
- Very educational besides enjoying the beautiful area. Every area was well prepared and the crafts were a lot of fun. The helpers were super!
