The café is intended for people with all stages of memory loss and their caregivers. Fun nature related activities are planned for the group each month.
The paddle will begin at Thiensville Village Park, and we will go up the river, turning around at Villa Grove Park. We’ll discuss the history and current state of our rivers and share different points of interest as we go.
We expect to find a variety of shorebirds and water birds (ducks, rails, bitterns and herons), pelicans and raptors -- as well as resident and early migrant passerines.
Join a naturalist for a casual walk focusing on a different aspect of the flora and fauna of Riveredge each time. Other things of interest will be explored as well.
Our Tree Climbing programs are meant for youth and adults, age 7 and above, with little to no tree climbing skills. Ascend ropes and explore the world way above your feet. We make it safe and easy!
Join Sam Thayer for a hands-on day of botany, foraging, and feasting. We’ll be exploring the varied landscape of Riveredge to learn about the edible plants of prairies, forests, lawns, wetlands, and everything in between.

Experience kayaking through Horicon Marsh, the site of both a national and state wildlife refuge, located just one hour from Riveredge. Join a Riveredge naturalist for an exciting day of paddling and discovery.
