Fourth grade is a time to explore Wisconsin. At Riveredge, we think it’s the perfect time for families to explore our natural world too! In recognition of Every Kid Outdoors, Riveredge is offering 4th graders a FREE All Access Membership to Riveredge Nature Center.

We’re committed to building happier, healthier families and communities. Studies continue to show that time spent outdoors increases creativity, reduces stress, improves mood, and even boosts health! And it’s never too early to start- in fact, one study reports that children who interact with nature before the age of 11 are more likely to have positive attitudes towards nature and the environment when they are older. Another perfect reason to ensure all our 4th graders have access to safe, fun, and close natural areas like Riveredge.

Our project is in partnership with the “Every Kid Outdoors” initiative, which is giving every U.S. 4th grader and his or her family free access to any national park, forest, land or water for an entire year. Fourth graders are able to register for a pass that allows them and their family to experience all the beautiful natural areas the country has to offer. With the Every Kid in a Park pass and a free Riveredge membership, we hope fourth graders have the ability to get outdoors on both a national and local level.
