The Beer Trek

This we believe: sampling great drinks surrounded by forests and prairies is awesome. And sampling great drinks IN the forests and prairies is even awesome-er. That's why in addition to all the amazing breweries and wineries available for sampling in our yard, we also open a special Beer Trek through Riveredge's trails!

Waiting for you on the trails? Our incredible sponsors below (stay tuned as we release more!) will have special stations with more great craft drinks on hand for you to sample. Yes, that's right, enjoy a scenic hike and enjoy some delicious drinks while you're doing it. Did someone say "heaven"?

The Tunes

When you've got good drinks and good friends surrounded by swaying trees and rippling ponds, there's only one thing missing: some good music! Luckily, we've got The Honeygoats and Kendra Swanson on hand to keep the party going with live bluegrass and folk.

The Honeygoats

12:30 PM - 3:30 PM

0

We like our music like we like our beer: local and fresh. The Honeygoats have been blowing up in Sheboygan County, and now they're ready to bring their upbeat strings performance across county lines to the Frothy. Expect bluegrass music influenced by everything from Otis Redding to Pearl Jam, but mostly expect to party.

Kendra Swanson

12:00 - 12:30 PM  and 3:30 - 4 PM

Not only is a Kendra an environmental educator at Riveredge and our Scientist in Resident at the Cedarburg School District (lucky us!), she's also a mesmerizing independent folk artist with a voice that somehow manages to be as strong as her passion. You won't want to miss her original blend of folk, Americana, and regional roots music inspired by the natural world that recently landed her an appearance on Wisconsin Public Radio's Simply Folk!

The Questions

A BEER FESTIVAL? AT A NATURE CENTER? WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?

Two things. First off, at Riveredge, we’re dedicated to redefining the relationship of a nature center to the community and the relationship of individuals to the natural world. That belief is why we continue to introduce innovative new ways to show people just how easy and enjoyable getting outside can be. Secondly, events like the Frothy allow us to raise money in order keep this one-of-a-kind land healthy and available for generations to come. All proceeds from this event benefit will go directly to the restoration and preservation of our 379 acres of wild Wisconsin.

I KNOW THERE'S DRINKING BUT CAN I BRING MY KIDS TO THIS?

While we're not specifically saying no kids allowed, please note this is definitely an event aimed solely at adults, so there won't be any kid activities or areas planned, and it's not really designed to handle them. Babies in tow shouldn't be a problem, but any older kids would be at the responsibility/discretion of the parent.

I WANT TO PUT TOGETHER A BIG GROUP TO COME TO THIS. ANY DISCOUNTS?

Already thinking about all those friends you're going to invite? We're offering a 10% discount on all ticket orders of 8 or more. To receive the code for this discount, please contact mgaboury@riveredge.us or give us a call at 262-375-2715.

THE OUTDOORS IS AWESOME BUT DOESN'T IT RAIN THERE SOMETIMES?

It sure does! The party goes on rain or shine though! This year, we'll have a big tent in the yard that will both help give shade and serve as rain cover, if needed. If heavy rain threatens, we've also got plenty of inside space we can combine with the tent to keep everyone dry and keep the drinks flowing!

I'VE GOT SOMETHING ELSE TO ASK THAT YOU WEREN'T ABLE TO PREDICT. I WIN!

Dangit! You're a tricky one! We'd love to answer any questions you have- please give us a call at 262-375-2715 or contact Matt Gaboury, Riveredge's Communications Manager, at mgaboury@riveredge.us
