UPDATE: Thanks to the incredible response from the Riveredge community, both nights of the Yule Log Dinner are now FULL. There is a wailtlist available for both nights through the registration button below. If spots open up because someone cancels, we will offer those spots to those on the waitlist first. Thank you all, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
The end of the year is a great time to give thanks for all the good in one’s life, and one thing we couldn’t be more thankful for is the amazing community of members who make Riveredge thrive. That’s why each Winter Solstice, we invite our members to Yule Log, two nights of festive entertainment where we can share the bounty of another fantastic year at Riveredge, celebrate the return of winter, and thank our members for all they do.
We start the night getting into the festive spirit with holiday carols and entertainment from the Grafton High School Chamber Singers before enjoying a delicious dinner featuring the world famous (okay, Riveredge famous) Yule Log Stew. This mouth-watering stew is cooked all day in a cast iron cauldron over a fire and made almost entirely of ingredients grown right here in Riveredge’s organic garden, tended to all year long by summer campers, students on field trips, and our staff.
After dinner, the excitement really begins, as we head into the Riveredge woods with lanterns in hand to search for the coveted Yule Log hidden in the forest. Go for the glory and work with your family to be the first to find this year’s Log! Once the Yule Log is found, we’ll all work together to drag it back to crackling campfire, where we’ll enjoy cider, hot chocolate, some holiday sing-a-longs, and if we’re really lucky, a visit from Father Winter!
This festive Riveredge celebration has been celebrated for over 40 years now, so whether this is your first Yule Log experience as a Riveredge member or your tenth, we hope you’ll join us for this holiday tradition you won’t soon forget.
