Setting up a thriving homestead is one thing… but what happens in case of unforeseen changes? In this time of economic, ecological, and climatic instability it can be hard to know how to buffer ourselves from challenges the universe may send our way. Luckily, permaculture design provides a panorama of design tools that can help us make our sites more resilient on all fronts.
This talk, by Dave Boehnlein author of Practical Permaculture, will offer you practical design strategies that you can use in any landscape to increase your resiliency. We will explore strategies for dealing with climate change, food production and storage, errors to avoid, community planning, and more! After the presentation you will have an opportunity to think about resilience in your own life and start creating an action plan using permaculture tools to increase your resilience.
Fee: $7.00 for non-members, $5.00 for members and Community Rivers Program residents (villages of Saukville, Grafton, and Newburg)
