Family Easter Egg Hunt

April 15

(Three hunt times: 9:30 AM, 11 AM, and 1 PM. Arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in!)

Join us for a special egg hunt event, Riveredge style! Each child will venture out to search high and low for hidden eggs. This is a candy-free hunt and prizes will be awarded to all participants. After the hunt, discover the wonders of Wisconsin’s egg-laying animals and color eggs using natural dyes. This event will appeal to the whole family. For everyone’s enjoyment,  children will be divided according to age and bag limits will be set. When you register, please specify your child’s age. Pre-registration required. All three hunts filled very fast last year!

FEE: Non-members $7 per child; All Riveredge Members: $5 per child

Cancellation Policy: Registrant will be refunded 75% of registration fee if cancellation occurs up to 7 days (1 week) before the program.  Any cancellations within 7 days of the program will not be refunded unless the program is cancelled by Riveredge staff.

Tips for a great experience!

  • Check in and parking is at main building of the Nature Center.
  • Pre-register online and get to the live animals, crafts, and fun faster!
  • A Riveredge Naturalist will guide each age level to their hunt location.
  •  Age groups are as follows:  ages 0-2, ages 3-4, ages 5-7, ages 8-12
  • Families are encouraged to arrive 10-15 minutes before their registered hike time. All hunts will begin on time as scheduled.  Remember- the early bird gets the worm!
  • Please dress for the weather! Hunts will take children to the forest and the prairie and will require them to look both high and low.
  • Friendly Farm animals including chickens, lambs, and a rabbit will be present for everyone’s enjoyment. Don’t miss these spring time animals!
  • Natural Egg dying, prizes, and refreshments will be in the Barn for everyone to enjoy. Maple Treats and Easter Basket goodies will be available for purchase!

Please note: Riveredge has recently upgraded our registration system. The good news? Registering for programs should now be much quicker and much easier! You will easily be able to register multiple family members at once, save your contact info for easy reuse, and quickly browse available programs. The bad news? Because this is a new system, we can not transfer over your old account. Unfortunately, that means you will need to create a new account on the new system and re-enter your information. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience, but please know that once you have your new account created and your info saved, you’ll have to do very little work to register for future programs.

Please don’t hesitate to call us at 262-375-2715 if you have any questions or run into any problems. We’re here to help! Thank you so much for your patience as we work to continue to improve our services for you!
