The Children’s Nature Library offers a wide selection of nature-themed fiction and non-fiction books appropriate for youth age infant to young adult. Nature Journeys Summer Camp

Summer is the time for Nature Journeys at Riveredge. Nature Journeys offers a series camp experiences for youth, teens, and families designed to connect people with the natural world in a deep and meaningful way by building on skills and awareness from one camp to the next. Each Nature Journey engages campers in unique outdoor explorations while also taking the time to build a more intimate and reflective outdoor experience. Looking for a great summer activity for your

K-8 School Field Trip Opportunities
Environmental Education Field Trips at Riveredge Nature Center!

Testing the Waters - Water Quality Training for Teachers and Students
“Testing the Waters”: Linking Students and Water through Technology (TTW) is an environmental education program that trains high school students in the Milwaukee River Watershed to become active decision makers. Through this program, students and teachers receive an education in river ecology and responsible

Earth Day Work and Learn Event
“Color Your World” Outdoor Art Camp
Wednesday to Friday, June 15, 16 and
17, 9 am-Noon
Join us for this colorful 3-part art expedition through the streets of Cedarburg, the trails and ponds of Riveredge Nature Center and rural adventures at the Family Farm in Grafton.
Groups of instructors will take youngsters ages 17 and under through an artful exploration of a variety of scenes culminating with a free entry into the Cedarburg Cultural Center’s Youth Outdoor Art Contest (“en plein air”) that runs June 15-26. (Campers ages 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult.) Art campers will learn skills geared for creative outdoor work including lighting, perspective, shading, capturing the details of plants and animals, landscapes, architectural elements and much more! Camps run from 9 am-12 pm each day and include art supplies, a snack and a special tour at each location.
Schedule:
9 am, June 15 – Meet at the Cedarburg Cultural Center for “City Scenes”
9 am, June 16 – Meet at Riveredge Nature Center for “Trail Mix”
9 am, June 17 – Meet at the Family Farm for “Farm Friends”
Fee: $75
