Anima, Animas, Animal:
Drawing from Animals, Drawing Ourselves
February 6, 10am-4pm
This class will use the Nature Center’s extraordinary collection of preserved animals, bones and skulls to explore the question of how we are alike and different from the animals around us. Has anyone ever compared you to an owl or a hawk? Ever wondered how your hand looks compared to a raccoon’s paw? Using drawing exercises and Native American stories, these comparisons will unfold. Drawers of all skill levels are welcome. Nature walks with a Riveredge Naturalist are included. Instructor: Eriks Johnson, M.F.A.
Adults or Ages 10 to 15 with Adult.
Fee: $55, includes drawing medium
